The Philippine Society of Pathologists (PSP) in collaboration with the Knowledge Management and Information Technology Service – Department of Health (KNITS – DOH) is pleased to invite 1-2 representatives of your hospital to attend a Training Course on Medical Certification of Death on June 16-17, 2017 at the PSP office 2nd floor Auditorium, 114 Malakas Street, Diliman, Quezon City. This training will greatly benefit your physicians, in properly filling up the Causes of Death portion in the Medical Certificate, as well as in understanding the Certificate of Death. This will also reiterate the legal mandates, importance of reporting the proper causes of Death in specific conditions, and discuss forensic investigation of medicolegal cases and peri-procedural cause of death, and the need for post mortem confirmation / autopsy for selected cases. This 2 day training will culminate with a plan of action to improve on the Quality of Mortality Data & Statistics and its utilization, and emphasize the role of autopsy and when needed for the confirmation of causes of death.
We are limiting our workshop attendance to 40 participants.
